We provide a wide range of Electrical Training, offering competence

assessment where possible.
We are an approved JTL Comp’EX’ Assessment Centre,
one of only 11 nationally,
offering EX01, EX02, EX03 and EX04 Assessments for full Comp’EX’
and
Comp’EX’ Refresher.
We are also an approved City & Guilds Centre for Electrical
Training and
Examinations, offering this in our own centre and on customer
premises,
with online testing available at both if facilities permit.
In recent years we have made a significant investment in our
Electrical Training
resources and now offer a greatly expanded range of scheduled

Hazardous Area Training
Aim - To deliver competence based training and assessment in
the selection and use
of electrical apparatus in potentially explosive atmospheres
that will lead to a
certificate of core competence.
Pre-requisites - Delegates for the course should be competent
electrical and or Instrument craft personnel.
Course Duration - The course is of five days in duration.
Optimum Number - Maximum of 6 delegates per course.

COMP ’EX’
Refresher Hazardous Area Training
Aim - To deliver competence based training and assessment in
the selection and use
of electrical apparatus in potentially explosive atmospheres
that will lead to a
certificate of core competence.
Pre-requisites - Ideally, delegates should have completed
the 5 day Compex course and held the certificate no longer than
5 years. Alternatively, delegates should be competent electrical
and or instrument craft personnel therefore the delegates in
this case would only receive a certificate for the company’s
sites and not for all sites.
Course Duration - The course is of two days in duration.
Optimum Number - Maximum of 8 delegates per course.
Training Aids - Practical training and assessment and the
use of course hand outs.

Hazardous
Area Training for Mechanical Personnel
Aim - The aim of the course is to provide mechanical personnel
with a working knowledge of Hazardous Areas.
Pre-requisites - Mechanical personnel with an awareness of
Certified Equipment.
Course Duration - The course is of two days in duration.
Optimum Number - Maximum of 6 delegates per course.
Training Aids - OHP, video, photographs, information handouts.
Assessment - Delegates do not do a direct assessment. However,
all delegates are closely
monitored to make sure they fully understand and are able to
demonstrate correct procedures. Only upon this will delegates
be issued with a certificate from Roxby Training.

Aim - To deliver competence based training and assessment that
will lead to the
award of the City & Guilds certificate for Portable Appliance
Testing 2377-002.
Pre-requisites - There are no pre-requisites however, an electrical
background would be
advantageous.
Course Duration - The course is of one day in duration.
Optimum Number - Maximum of 8 delegates per course.

Assessment - There is an optional City and Guilds examination
on the day of the course.
This is a nationally recognised certificate and will be awarded
to candidates by
City & Guilds if they successfully complete the online examination.If
delegates
do not take the City & Guilds examination they will be awarded

IEE Wiring Regulations - City & Guilds 2382
Aim - To deliver competence based training and assessment that
will lead to the
award of the City and Guilds 2382 certificate for the IEE Wiring
Regulations
of electrical installations.
Pre-requisites - There are no pre-requisites however, an electrical
background would be
advantageous.
Course Duration - The course is of three days in duration.
Optimum Number - Maximum of 8 delegates per course.
Training Aids - OHP, Information hand-outs.
Assessment - There is an optional City and Guilds examination
on the third day of the course.
This is a nationally recognised certificate and will be awarded
to candidates by City & Guilds if they successfully complete
the multiple choice online examination. If delegates do not
take the City & Guilds examination they will be awarded
a Roxby Training Certificate of Attendance.

Aim - To deliver competence based training and assessment in
the inspection,
testing and certification of electrical installations in accordance
with the
national standard (BS 7671).
Pre-requisites - Delegates are advised to have a current certificate
for 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations City and Guilds 2382.
Course Duration - The course is of four days in duration.
Optimum Number - Maximum of 4 delegates per course.

Assessment - There is a practical and written City and Guilds
examination which takes place
on the course. This is a nationally recognised certificate and
