Course Syllabus

The course covers the following modules:

  • Introduction to Statistical Project Control (S.P.C.)
  • The Concept of S.P.C. and its role as A Tool for Problem Solving
  • Short Run (Low Volume) Statistical Process Control (S.P.C.)
  • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
  • Reliability Based Maintenance (RBM)

Course Content

Aim:
This course is designed to introduce delegates to S.P.C. and the terminology used. No prior knowledge of statistics is assumed or required.

Pre-Requisites:
The course is most suitable for anyone who directly or indirectly contributes to the control of processes in industrial or commercial organisations.

Duration:
The course will be two weeks duration.

Optimum Number:
The optimum number of persons on this course will be six.

Training Aids:
Use will be made of lecture notes, audio-visual presentation and discussion.

Assessment:
The course may be accredited by the way of an NVQ or units towards. If not, a competence based assessment can be applied.
