Stockton-On-Tees & The Tees Valley Area

daverob3

Stockton and Middlesbrough are situated at the heart of the Tees Valley area, and lie between two of the North's greatest historic destinations, Durham and Whitby.

Teesside has a proud engineering heritage, during the industrial revolution growing faster than any other area in the UK, and has long been associated with iron and steel originally mined from the Cleveland hills. Look out for the 'Made-In-Middlesbrough' stamp on the Sydney Harbour Bridge!

Teesside’s present day businesses have a long established world-wide reputation for quality and innovation, from servicing traditional heavy industries to delivering new green energy and digital technology.

But Teesside isn't all bustle and built-up sprawl. Located aside the North York Moors, the Cleveland Way and one of the North East's most famous landmarks, Roseberry Topping. Beautiful market towns such as Yarm charm the Tees Valley area with their pretty Georgian high streets and traditional shops & markets.

From designer shops & restaurants, to events, arts & culture, Teesside is undergoing a cultural renaissance to reflect the area’s ongoing passion for live entertainment, sport, art and music. The Town Halls and Theatres boast a rich programme of comedy, music, drama and dance. While the Institute of Modern Art hosts a rolling exhibition programme of international significance.

Cleethorpes is a thriving seaside resort located on the Lincolnshire coast. With beautiful golden sands and high standards of water cleanliness, it has once again been awarded the Blue Flag (2013).

Whilst being able to enjoy the traditional seaside events of the arcades, ice cream and rock stands, Cleethorpes is central to a varied choice of restaurants and bars.

Grimsby is the neighbouring town to Cleethorpes and historically renowned for its fishing heritage. It has, more recently, been evolved into a town of industry with focus on renewable energy, chemical and process industries.
